Windows 11

In October 2021, Microsoft introduced the new version of Windows, Windows 11, with a promise of a completely new user experience and major updates.

Here in this article, we gather some good things about Windows 11. Also some disadvantages the users may have when using it.

What makes Windows 11 a good OS?

  • Taskbar looks like Mac Dock.

Like MacOS, and some Linux distributions, it’s possible in Windows 11 to switch the taskbar to a dock, this helps a lot when using the system on a touch screen device. Fans of the original Windows taskbar will still be able to align apps icons and the Start button to the right and left sides.

  • Widgets are back, again.

Widgets appear first time with Windows 7 and Vista. The new widgets in Windows 11 show up from a specified part on the left of the screen.

  • Support Android apps.

The new OS support running Android apps you can install any app or game that is based on Android on Win 11. So, after clicking on the app it will work inside the system environment as if it was a Windows app. This feature comes for the first time, in the previous version, Android emulators were used for running Android.

  • Better gaming experience

One of the new features promoted by new releases of Xbox and PlayStation is the fast linking between CPU, GPU, and partial storage.

The equivalent of this feature on computers is called DirectStorage. Wich will be available on Windows 11, DirectStorage will bring major reinforcement on the performance of apps that needs to accommodate a big amount of data, like games.

But, What are The Bad Sides?

  • Microsoft will know you better.

Windows 11 will send more data to Microsoft about your computer and how you use it. Also, you will need a Microsoft account to benefit from all the features benefits that Windows11 provides. Also, the system could know how you use desktop tools and analyze them through AI. So, Microsoft will have the option to target its users with ads based on their interests and behaviors, and that could upset users who prioritize privacy concerns.

  • You may not be able to install it.

Win11 requires TPM version 2.0, which is not available for a large number of laptops. Also, certain processors won’t be enough to run Win11. Your computer should meet all the requirements to install it properly.

  • Where is Skype?

Skype was the leader of video call applications. Recently. it was lost among the newest applications like Zoom. However, Skype is still popular among millions of users. But unfortunately, in Windows 11, Microsoft replaced Skype with Teams.
